# Composio

> Connect external app tools to the Mermail mailbox agent.

Composio lets the mailbox agent use connected app tools for the authenticated user. Mermail filters toolkits and tool actions before exposing tools to the agent.

## Toolkit rules

Mermail disables Gmail and Outlook toolkits for the mailbox agent path. Email should stay inside Mermail's own mailbox model.

The Google Calendar toolkit is supported for calendar account context and triggers.

## Connection lifecycle

The app API supports listing toolkits, starting a connection, disconnecting a toolkit, listing connections, and syncing connection state.
